Southern Cross Language School, Quito & Guayaquil, Ecuador

January 4, 2012

Southern Cross Language School has provided information about ongoing employment opportunities (this is the place where Sarah Smith is employed).

John Warren, the director, writes:
“We appoint teachers throughout the year according to our needs. We have two language centres – one in Quito and one in Guayaquil. Applicants would need to specify if they wanted one more than the other.
After their initial inquiry I follow a relatively straight-forward approach to appointing new teachers. I request personal documents, issue a lesson planning task, conduct an interview and finally take up references.
Teachers are asked to commit to a full calendar year in order to receive our Cultural Visa free of any charge to them. Generally we only appoint newly qualified teachers with CELTA A or CELTA B qualifications. Someone with a CELTA Pass would be considered if they demonstrate at least one year of experience supported by good references.
