British Council Thailand English Teaching Programme 2016 –

New placement opportunities for English Language Assistants:

“The British Council and the Ministry of Education in Thailand are once again running the ‘Thailand English Teaching (TET) Programme’ in 2016 to help improve the English language skills of children in Thai schools and develop cultural links between Thailand and the UK.”

You MUST be:

  1. A student holding a UK or E.U. passport
  2. EITHER – Currently studying at degree level or equivalent or higher at a UK university of higher education institution in the UK
  3. OR – have graduated from the above no earlier than 2013.

Swansea University has supported applications for this programme in previous years, with successful applicants going to placements in Thailand. Of course, a CELTA qualification (or pending) places you in a great position to succeed in applying, and makes experience in Thailand much more meaningful and relevant in your professional development.

The deadline for applications for the TET 2016 summer programme is 26 February, 2016.
