Informal ESOL Language Support Co-ordinator – Swansea – immediate

Organisation: Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers’ Support Group (SBASSG)

Contract: Fixed Term for 9 months (subject to a trial period of 3 months) on a self-employed/freelance basis (excluding Christmas and New Year period). 4 hours per week with some possible additional agreed hours (approximately averaging 1 per month) for training and supervision.

Salary: £20 per hour

Closing date: 12pmTuesday 13th September

Main Purpose of the Post

Applicants are invited to apply for the post of fixed term (freelance/self- employed) ESOL Language Support Co-ordinator for Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers’ Support Group (SBASSG).

SBASSG is seeking a qualified and experienced English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher to co-ordinate the voluntary run, informal English Language support to asylum seekers and refugees at Friday evening Drop-Ins and Saturday afternoon drop-ins.

The applicant will have some knowledge of issues facing asylum seekers and refugees and have some experience of delivering training.
