FIRST Swansea and West Wales BAME Network Meeting – 19 July 2017

July 14, 2017

Gerli Orumaa, the Regional Coordinator – Swansea Ethnic Youth Support Team (EYST) has written to invite people to the FIRST Swansea and West Wales BAME Network Meeting:

19 July 2017, 11am-1pm @
EYST Wales Office
Units B & C; 11 St Helen Road
Swansea SA1 4AB

“The forum welcomes ethnic minority people living in the region and people who want to work toward greater racial equality in the region.   The forum will work to influence politicians and decision makers to create policies and practices which better reflect the needs of BAME people.

What we will do at the first meeting:

• Get to know each other –  meet new people and colleagues;
• Identify pressing issues which affect lives of ethnic minority people living in the area;
• Create an action plan to improve lives of ethnic minority people living in Swansea and West Wales.

We do understand this is a big region and some people live and work far from Swansea.  If you can’t attend the network meeting because of the travel, we will be sure to get out to you to be sure your voice and ideas are included.

EYST is partnering with City and County of Swansea and South Wales Police organising this forum as part of the All Wales BAME Engagement Programme.

Please RSVP to gerli@eyst.org.uk
