Oxford International Education Group – Oxford International Junior Programme Easter and summer 2018

October 23, 2017

Jon Siebert, the Recruitment Operations Coordinator at Oxford International Education Group, has written to tell me about the opportunities to work for them over the Easter and Summer period 2018. There are various centres around the UK, and roles available include – teacher and activity leader. The role of teacher is obvious: usually the work is well-programmed, with materials provided and working under the guidance of team leaders and  / or a director of studies. The activity Leader role will be one where you organise, direct and sometimes lead various activities, such as visits, games or social activities. Being able to offer some relevant coaching, activity or sports certificates would probably be advantageous e.g drama, dance, swimming, tennis or football, as would some previous experience of the role.

The company teaches 8-17 year olds, and these may come from anywhere in the world, but commonly the client base is European for UK centres.  For both roles, the job is likely to involve some evenings, and will definitely need the usual checks before employment.

The role would include living residentially at a centre on a fixed term contract between 2 and up to 6 weeks (depending on what time of year).  For newly qualified trainees, it is a great opportunity, especially for the summer period, to put the skills you have learned into practice!
