Education Worker – Wales

Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity. Our aim is to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominantly but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racism message to young people and society.

The post is involved in delivering workshops to young people and adults throughout Wales, working within the team to help organise anti-racism events, reporting, monitoring and evaluating the work of the team.

Due to some of the Welsh rural locations visited, candidates must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car / driver.  The successful candidate will initially work from home with a view to securing local office space.  The post involves delivering workshops across the whole of Wales with a focus on delivery across North Wales.

21 hours/week
Salary – NJC Scale 22 – 25 – £20,661 – £22,658 (pro rata)
6% pension

The post is for a fixed term period of up to 12 months

Applicants must have:

  • Experience in a similar role including delivering workshops to young people and adults
  • Excellent communications skills; written, telephone and inter personal
  • Commitment to tackling racism and other forms of inequality
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to develop new educational ideas and activities

SRtRC offer good conditions of service including, flexible working hours, annual leave of 25 days (pro rata) rising with service, plus bank holidays and a group pension scheme.

Mae’r swydd yn golygu cyflwyno gweithdai dros Gymru gyfan gan ganolbwyntio yn bennaf ar gyflwyno yng Ngogledd Cymru.
